PRESERVATIVE IN MINCE

FINES IN GREYMOUTH [ Per Press Association.] GREYMOUTH, Feb. 13. In the Magistrate's Court Alfred Coumbe, manager of the Mawhera Meat Co,, was fined £2 for selling mince containing excessive sulphur dioxide. Robert Edward Groom was fined £2 on a similar cnarge. A representative of the Health Department said excessixe preservative was considered detrimental to public health. T.ic cases, the first of the kind in lhe district, were brought a warning.
