FEILDING SALE HEAVY SHEEP ENTRY The Associated Auctioneers report on the Feilding stock sale as follows: A heavy yarding of store sheep came forward to a large attendance of buyers at Friday’s sale and values held firm at par with recent sales. The offering consisted mostly of store lambs with a medium entry of breeding ewes and store wethers. A medium entry of fat sheep sold with prices at sar. The beef section, which was made up with a medium entry of station cattle and a good entry of ex dairy sorts, showed no alteration in values. The runcattlemarket was quiet with boner and dairy cattle fully maintaining late rates. Range of prices:— Sheep.—Fat lambs, tops 21s to 245, medium, 19s to 20s 6d; fat ewes, prime heavy 10s to 10s Bd, heavy 9s to 9s 9d; fat wethers, extra prime 19s 6d to 21s 2d, prime 18s Id to 19s; lighter sorts, 16s 3d to 17s 6d; twotooth ewes, good to 26s 6d, medium to 21s 9d; five-year ewes, 13s 9d to 18s 7d: five and six-year ewes, 10s to 12s; six-year ewes, Ils 3d; store wethers, 11s to 15s; b.f. lambs, tops (woolly) 15s 6d to 18s, shorn 13s 6d to 14s lOd, medium 12s; ewe lambs, tops 16s 10c! to 18s 3d, medium, 12s 3d to 16s Id, culls 4s 2d to 8s; wether lambs, tops 14s 6d to 17s Id, medium 12s to 13s 7d, culls 4s 4d to 5s lOd.
Cattle.—Dairy cows, £7 4s to £8 15s; heifers, £7; potter cows, £2 15s to £4; fat run cows, heavy prime £7 to £8 ss, prime £5 15s to £6 18s; lighter, £4 17s 6d to £5 lOd; fat cows, ex dairy, £4 10s to £5 15s; Jersey weaner heifers, £3 ss; runners, £2 12s 6d; yearling steers, P.A., £2 12s 6d; yearling heifers, £1 15s; two-year P.A. steers, £4 to £7; P.A. bullocks, £7 15s to £9; cows and calves, £.3 18s.
