After raiding their homes and seizing papers the police arrested Herr and Frau Barron, correspondents of the German paper Boersen Zeitung, who are believed to have been expelled. The Daily Telegraph's Barcelona correspondent says the Nationalists discovered enormous quantities of treasure in a Figueras castle where the loyalists stored it, filling rooms and galleries four feet deep with pearl necklaces, antique .jewellery, gold coins, pictures, stocks and bonds worth hundreds of thousands sterling, silver spoons and forks, tureens, bowls and candelabra. The rebels occupied Portbou anc! reached the frontier. They also occupied Puigcerda. Rebel airmen bombed Cartagena Alicante, Alcoy and other towns. General Franco has withdrawr some of his troops from Catlonia .for a rest preparatory to advancing towards Central Spain. A message from Cerbere says that the Republicans blew up Portbou tc cover the retreat of their last army Three thousand men crossed the frontier. FRANCO RECOGNISED HOLLAND AND SVVUZEkLan D. ZURICH, Feb. 10. The Foreign Office has informer the Spanish Republican Minister thal Switzerland and Holland have agreed to recognise General Franco's Gov. ernment in principle.
