W.D.F.U.

TAIHAPE BRANCH. The monthly meeting of the Taihape branch of the Women’s Division was held on February 4 in the W.D.F.U. room, when the president, Mrs. Laidlay presided over the following. Mesdames Adlam, R. J. Gibbs, Hebberd, Doole, Jensen, Belk, Banks, E. Gilbert and Adair. Apologies were received from Mesdames Steedman, Stoddart, Broom, Munro and Dobson. A vote of sympathy was passed to Mrs. Hebberd in her recent bereavement, the members standing in silence. A donation was sent to the Wellington central provincial. It was also decided to send a donation to the Flock House rest home. The Public Hospital was visited bn December 22 and Christmas cheer left to be distributed to the patients on Christmas morning. The quarterly meeting of Wellington Central Provincial is to be held in Taihape on Wednesday. February 15, and it is hoped that all members and those interested will attend.
