DEATH OF POPE PIUS XI

REQUIEM MASS AT WELLINGTON Because of advice received during the week-end from the Rt. Rev. Monsignor T. F. Connolly, administrator of the Archdiocese of Wellington, during the absence of Archbishop T. O'Shea, there will be no Requiem Mass for the repose of the soul of the Pope on Tuesday at St. Mary’s Church. Wanganui. It has been decided that solemn Requiem Mass will be celebrated at St. Mary’s of the Angels Church, Wellington, al 10 a.m. on Thursday Priests from all the parishes of the Archdiocese will be present at this Mass. Reference to the Pope’s death was made in all Catholic churches in Wanganui yesterday.
