REFUGEE CHILDREN
PLAN FOR ADMISSION TO UNITED STATES Received Feb. 10, 10 p.m. WASHINGTON, Feb. 9. Senator Wagner introduced a resolution authorising the admission of 10,000 refugee children, of every race and creed, in 1939 and 1940 up to the age of 14, under arrangements by private citizens to provide for them without affecting the normal quota of immigrants.
troops immediately began advancing to the interior. An official announcement of the landing describes it as a military necessity aimed at the extermination of the Sino forces on the island. It is claimed that the operations will not come into conflict with the FrancoJapanese agreement.
