Clothing Cheap in Britain. Clothing is cheap in England, according to Mr. R. J. Richards, headmaster of Christ’s College, who returned recently from a five months’ stay there. “I was astonished at its cheapness,” he said. “The reason seems to be the development of mass production and the establishment of big multiple department stores. I bought a pair of heavy hob-nailed, water-tight garden boots for Bs. They would cost twice as much here.”
