I Piet de Wet. the Springbok Rugby centre, who represented South Africa in all three tests against the British touring team last season. De Wet is a third-year medical student, and the award is very popular, as he has played a big part in reviving university Rugby after a lean time. Last year the Jameson Cup winner was also a Rugby Springbok. Louis Babrow, and tl>e previous year it went to Sid Kiel, the Springbok Empire Games hurdler.
