ELLSWORTH’S CLAIMS
ANTARCTIC TERRITORY WASHINGTON COMMENT Received Feb. 9, 9.30 p.m. WASHINGTON, Feb. 8. A State Department official, commenting on a message from Australia concerning the dispute arising from Mr. Lincoln Ellsworth’s claims to territory in the Antarctic, said that no word had been received from theh explorer himself and until his report arrived and was carefully checked, no action could be taken.
