TROUBLE THREATENED
STRIKERS IN MANDALAY REINFORCED TROOPS AND POLICE STANDING BY (Independent Cable Service.) RANGOON, Feb. 8. Reinforced troops and police are standing by in Mandalay, wheretrouble is feared from strikers. A meeting of elders who are supporting the student hunger-strikers advocated a nation-wide hungerstrike to be enforced by priests unless the Government surrenders to the strikers’ demands.
