FORDELL EWE FAIR
EXCELLENT CLEARANCE New Zealand Loan and Mercantile Agency Co., Ltd., report on the above sale, which was held on Tuesday. We submitted a yarding of 7000 sheep, 6000 of the yarding comprising of ewes, the balance of lambs, to an excellent attendance of buyers from the Waikato, Manawatu, Taranaki and Waverlcy districts, who competed keenly for suitable ewes for their requirements, and we can report a total clearance of the yarding at auction. The Waikato buyers present showed a preference for the sound-mouth ewe, but met keen competition in this class from Taranaki buyers. Consequently this class of ewe showed an appreciation in value on recent sales.
