COMING-OF-AGE PARTY. Between 120 and 130 young and old friends of Mr. and Mrs. J. Capstick were entertained at a most enjoyable “coming-of-age party” and dance in honour of their second daughter Nathalie, on Wednesday evening. The local hall presented a very festive appearance for the occasion, having been decorated with multi-coloured streamers and balloons. Novelty dances and games were won by Miss N. Avery, Mr. G. Taylor and partner, and Miss J. Pedersen and partner. After a dainty supper was served Mr. H. Redpath proposed the toast of the guest of honour, and. Miss N. Capstick suitably replied. Mr. E. Ayres then proposed the health of the host and hostess. Mr. J. Capstick replied and thanked all for coming along and making the evening such a success. The cake, which was then cut, was beautifully decorated in white, silver, and pale blue to match the guest of honour’s frock, which was made of white lacquered satin, trimmed with pleated tulle and a spray of blue flowers, over which she wore a pleated stiffened cape of white net.
