LAWN TENNIS t (Own Correspondent) PATEA. Feb. 8. • The draw for the second round of . the South Taranaki G grade tennis r competition is:— February 11: Patea v. Opuaiake, at 1 Patea. February 18: Patea v. Manaia, al Manaia. February 25: Patea v. Park, at Hawera. BOWLING The following is the second draw lor the handicap doubles:—Two lives: Williams v. Sheild; Sheahan v. Hur- f ley; Richards v. White; McClymont v. ’ P. Bourke, sen. One life: Bell v. x Scown; K. Bourke v. Wainright; 1 Pearce v. J. Bourke. Games to be c played by February 19 or forfeited. SURF AND LIFE SAVING I The following will take part, in the Taranaki championships to be held at Opunake on Sunday:— Six-man Rescue.—C. Haining, R. A. Adams, R. Sopp, N. Gardiner, E. Oakley, J. Pepperill and F. C. Verney. March Past.—Same as above, including A. B. Currie, T. Hills, B. Usher and M. A. Boagey. Surf Team’s Rcae.—C. Haining, F. Verney, J. Pepperill and E. Oakley. Beltman's Race.—C. Haining and F. Verney. On the 17th inst. the same team will visit Auckland for the New Zealand championships to be held at Milford Beach. Members have been practising assiduously and hope to put up a good showing. C. Haining, a valuable member of the team, will not be available, being unable to obtain leave. - ~ .
