PATEA (Own Correspondent). PATEA, Feb. 8. Miss Francis Bromiley spent the week-end in Wellington. Miss Cynthia Simmons has returned to Marsden College. Misses Dorothy Haddow and Dorothy Barnes are attending New Plymouth Girls’ High School. Masters Tom and Dan Quickenden and Des. Smith have returned to St. Patrick’s College, Silverstream. Miss Jean Smith was a recent visitor to Bulls. Master George Vodanovich is attending New Plymouth Boys’ High School, and Master Ralph Simmons has returned to Wanganui Collegiate School. Congratulations were extended to Miss Sophia Ginger, of Hawera, and formerly of Manutahi, on her 100th. birthday on Tuesday, by the Mayor, Mr. E. F. Hemingway, on behalf of the citizens of Patea.

Graham motored to New Plymouth on Tuesday to meet her daughter, Miss Phoebe Graham, who had arrived by plane from Auckland, where she is training to be a Karitane nurse.
