NEW BUILDING PROGRAMME
NEW HANGARS AT WIGRAM ; ANOTHER £40.000 TO BE SPENT [Per Press Association.] CHRISTCHURCH, Feb. 8. Two new concrete hangars, capable of holding manv aeroplanes, are in-
cluded in the new building programme about to be started at Wigram, Royal New Zealand Air Force training station. In the last fewdays three tenders have been let for the buildings, which will involve an expenditure of more than £40,000. These are for two new’ hangars and (for a second store building. Already (this year, tenders have been let for •buildings at Wigram costing more (than £54,000, the programme in hand iincluding, in addition to the new .hangars and store room, No. 1 store ■ room dormitory extension costing |£5377, cubicles and. lavatory buildlings costing £4429. kitchen alterations costing £659 and a petrol tank costing £3lB. • Temporary barracks for single men [are also being built and should be finished very shortly. One of the most costly of the additional jobs is the (construction of a high watertank of (reinforced concrete.
