ACTIVITY IN JUTE INDUSTRY
BRITAIN ORDERS SANDBAGS SATISFACTION IN INDIA Received Feb. 6, 5.5 p.m. CALCUTTA, Feb. 5. - Despite the Sabbath there was business activity on the news that Britain had ordered 200,000 sandbags. This is regarded as the salvation o£ the jute industry, especially as the order is a preliminary one and the French and American authorities are expected to follow.
