THE WANGANUI SALE HIGH PROCEEDS A total of 27,265 bales was offered, ot which 26,387 bales were sold at th* first Wanganui wool sale of the 193939 season held on January 7. Th# total weight of wool was 9,765,4761 b. Proceeds of the sale amounted to £362,100 17s 2d, an average of £l3 14s 5d a bale, and 8.899 d a lb. The estimated proceeds of the sale before the brokers’ reports were available were £350,000.
