WANGANUI CLUB SUMMER COMPETITIONS COMBINED STAPLEFORD BOGEY Last Saturday's competition at Belmont was played in ideal weather. Fairways and greens were in good order and some excellent cards were handed in. The best individual effort was that of A. G. Mackay, whose card showed 39 Stapleford points and a net 67 on stroke play. Other good individual scores were F. Freeman and C. Bristol, with 37 and 35 points respectively. Competition results were as follow : F. Freeman 37 and E. H. Thomas 34—71. C. Bristol 35 and J. C. Brown 32 67. H. Cox 34 and J. E. Marshall 32—66. J. E. Foster 34 and H. Hobbins 30— 64. A. G. Mackay 39 and F. Jacobs 24 J. Harrison 32 and F. G. Beaven 30 —62. L. E. Bassett 32 and H. Holroyd 29 —6l. Next Saturday a Stapleford bogey will be played.
