PALESTINE TALKS
SUSPENDED IMMIGRATION OF JEWS MASS DEMONSTRATIONS IN POLAND ( British Official Wireless. ] RUGBY, Feb. 5. The British delegation, which will take part in the Palestine talks, beginning in London on Tuesday, consists of the Prime Minister, Mr. Neville Chamberlain, the Foreign Secretary, Lord Halifax, the Colonial Secretary, Mr. Malcolm MacDonald, and Parliamentary Under-Secretaries at the Foreign and Colonial Office, but it is not expected that Mr. Chamberlain or Lord Halifax will be in regular attendance after the opening of the meetings. The day-to-day work of the British delegation will fall principally on Mr. Malcolm MacDonald, assisted by Mr. R. A. Butler and the Marquess of
Dufferin and Ava. On the eve of the conference thousands of Jews in Poland took part in a mass demonstration, passing identical resolutions against the suspension of immigration to Palestine and determining to resist the reduction of Jews in Palestine to a minority status. RESOLUTION ADDRESSED TO KING GEORGE. Rceived Feb. 6, 10.20 p.m. WARSAW, Feb. 6. The Jewish delegation handed to the British Ambassador a copy of the resolution, which was addressed to King George. Copies were sent to Mr. Chmberlain and Lord Halifax. The addendum states that 190,000 Polish Jews had settled in Palestine.
