FIRE AT CHILDREN’S HOME
NUNS RESCUE BABIES. Received Feb. 5, 7 p.m. MELBOURNE, Feb. 5. A fire occurred last evening at St Joseph’s Foundling Home, situated at Eroadmeadows suburb. The nuns, at great risk through smoke, rescued 35 babies, some only a few days old, and carried them to safety.
