LONDON LAMB MARKET WEAK
TRADE IN MUTTON DULL. The Bank of Australasia has received the following cable, dated February 1, from its London office:— Frozen Lambs.—Demand for New Zealand new season’s disappointing; opening prices not long maintained and although arrivals not too heavy, market continues slightly easier. For Australian lambs trade continues to be slow and values weaker, especially summer grades. Frozen Mutton.—Business dull ftr both wethers and ewes, and prices practically unchanged; latterly there has been more inquiry for lightweights. Frozen Beef.—There has been moderate demand; market continues
