HUNTERVILLE SPORTS
TO-DAY’S PROGRAMME HIGHLAND GATHERING. A comprehensive programme of events has been arranged by the Hunterville Sports Club for the annual sports and Highland gathering on the Hunterville Domain to-day, and with fine weather assured there should be a large attendance. In addition to the national dancing and piping events there will be horse events, amateur athletics, field events, axemen's and sawing events, and a large number of children's races and novelty events. The Hunterville Pipe Band will be in attendance, and refreshments will be available on the grounds. The children's events start at 10 a.m., and the sports programme is to start at 12.30 p.m. Wanganui and district residents may be assured of a great day’s sport at Hunterville.
