MILITARY BANDS
VISIT TO TAIHAPE MUSICAL TREAT ON SUNDAY (Own Correspondent) TAIHAPE, Feb. 3. Arrangements have been made for the Wellington Regimental Military Band, and the Wellington Regimental Pipe Band, at present in camp at Waiouru, to visit Taihape o.n Sunday (by permission of the camp commandant, Major R. Park) and play at the Taihape Hospital in the afternoon, and give a concert in the Town Hall at night, at 8.15 p.m. The Taihape Municipal Band will also participate in the band concert and the performance at the hospital, while the three ba.nds will take part in a massed band march through the streets of Taihape. at 7.30 p.m. Approximate!?/ 100 bandsmen will assemble in Taihape for the occasion, and it is to be hoped that the public will turn up in their hundreds to see the largest gathering of bandsmen ever held in Taihape. Both the visiting bands are recognised as good combinations and Taihape cadi look forward to a real municipal treat.
