COURT ACTION TO PROCEED DECISION IN AUCKLAND [ Per Press Association.! AUCKLAND, Feb. 2. It was learnt that the Bureau of Importers 'intends to proceed with an action before the Court of, Appeal to determine whether the Import Control Regulations, 1938, are legal.

Counsel for the bureau has been in communication during the past few days with the Solicitor-General, but so far no advice has been received regarding the procedure to be adopted. When this advice is to hand it is proposed to issue an originating summons and to apply to the Court for a fixture. An official of the bureau also intimated that the petition to be presented to the Governor-General was being extensively signed throughout New Zealand. This petition, which prays that the regulations should be • suspended pending an Appeal Court investigation, . will be presented shortly. “ * *
