jyjß. KENNETH MELVIN has been put off the air by the Gov1 eminent, so his “History Behind the Headlines” will no longer be broadcast. This information is provided by the Standard, which publishes an interview with Mr. Savage wherein the Prime Minister denied that the ban was imposed because he was bullied by the German Consul, Herr Ramm. Mr. Savage also explains that he is getting reliable information concerning international affairs, while Mr. Melvin bases his opinions on propaganda articles which are not reliable. Accepting all that Mr. Savage has to say on the matter, it is still desirable that he should answer the following questions: (1) who is Mr. Melvin?; (2) what qualification has he to broadcast comment on international affairs?; (3) why was he allowed on the radio in the first place, seeing that Mr. Savage has proved so much against him?
