WANGANUI CENTRE DISTRICT CHAMPIONSHIPS ENTRIES DUE TO-NIGHT Entries for the Wanganui district swimming championships are due to close to-night. The championships will be decided next week at two carnivals to be arranged, the first in the St. George's Gate baths on Thursday, February 9, and the second in the Wanganui East baths on Saturday, February 11. CHAMPIONSHIPS RETAINED VICTORIAN TITLES Received Feb. 3, 7.30 p.m. MELBOURNE, Feb. 23. At the Victorian swimming and diving championships to-day, R. Masters and Miss Irene Donnett retained their respective State titles when they won the high diving contests.. Masters is also Empire Games champion. TO TOUR SOUTH AFRICA AUSTRALIAN SWIMMERS Received Feb. 3, 7.30 p.m. MELBOURNE, Feb. 3. The Australian Amateur Swimming Union has selected Noel Ryan and R. Wiltshire (New South Wales), and R. Masters (Victoria) for a tour of South Africa. R. Biddulph was not available.
WAVERLEY SWIMMING CLUB WEEKLY ACTIVITIES WEDNESDAY’S RESULTS To allow members to participate at the Wanganui East carnival last night, the Waverley Swimming Club's weekly club night was held on Wednesday.
