STRATFORD RACES R. W. SAVAGE OUT FOR TWO MONTHS ECHO OF FOOTLOOSE CASE ( Per Press Association,] NEW PLYMOUTH, Feb. 2. Protests made by the owners of Noitaro (Messrs. G. W. Bremmer and Hall) and the owner of Little Ruse (Mrs. N. I. Burke) against the winner of the Kaponga Hack Handicap, Footloose, on the second day of the Stratford Racing Club’s meeting on January 3, on the grounds that Footloose started from the rails position instead of the outside, which he drew, were dismissed by the judicial committee of the Stratford Racing Club after the resumption of the adjourned inquiry to-night. It was further resolved that, as no evidence had been adduced to prove any collusion or corrupt practice among the parties concerned, the stakes be paid in accordance with the judge’s placings. R. W. Savage, rider of footloose, was suspended for two months as from February 2 for taking an unfair advantage at. the start. This penalty is additional to one of f 5 imposed by the starter on the day of the race.
