BUT A DULL SALE FEILDING REPORTS. Levin and Co. Ltd., report that at Feilding on Friday a good yiarding of both sheep and cattle came forward to a small attendance of the public. A dull sale resulted and much was passed in. There Was an over supply of beef penned and prices declined from last week’s quotations: Quotations: Fat b.f. 2-tooths 18s, 18s 4d; fat wethers 21s, 22s 3d; fat ewes 15s 9d, 16s 2d to 17s; 2-tooth wethers 17s; shorn S.D. ewes with lambs 40s; fat S.H. cows £6 3s to £6 15s; light fat P.A'. cows £4 15s to £5 17s 6d; light fat ewes £4 12s 6d; boners 38s, £2 4s to £3 9s 6d; canners 10 to 30s; young empty S.H. cows 38s; small yearling heifers 21s to £2 4s. Messrs Abraham and Williams Ltd., report on the Feilding sale as follows:—A, moderate yarding of both sheep and cattle came forward. Prices for sheep were dasicr than last week’s sale. Fat cattle sold well. Store cattle wore hard to quit. We quote: —Fat heifers £2 18s to £5 6s; fat cows £3 Is, £3 ss, £3 15s, £4 10s, £4 18s, £5 12s 6d, £5 18s to £6 16s; 2-year Hereford steers £5 10s, £5 15s, £6; forward cows £2, £2 ss, £2 10s, £2 15s; store cows 255, 28s, 32s 6d yearling heifers £2, £2 ss, dairy cows £6 ss. Jersey bulls £3 to £4. 4 and 6-tooth ewes, fat, 18s to 19s; fat ewes 15s 6d to 16s 3d; 2 land 4-tooth wethers 16s 7d to 18s 9d; 2-tooth wethers 15s 4d to 17s 7d. Mixed hoggets to 14s. 1 aged mare £l7. Dalgety and Co. Ltd., Palmerston North report having a fair entry of sheep and cattle at the Folding sale. There was ti good demand for all classes of sheep and practically all lines were quitted: Quotations: —Cull mixed 2-tooths Ils 6d, small mixed 2tooths 15s, small B.F. 16s 9d, 2-tooth wethers 17s 4d, 2-tooth ewes 19s 7d, 4tooth wethers 18s 10d, fat ewes 14s, 16s 6d, 17s 6d; light fat wethers 21s, fat 2-tooths 20s 4d to 20s 9d. Jerseys and cross ydarling heifers £2 10s, store cows 23s 6d, 255, forward do. £2 10s, fat cows £7 10s, £7 18s 6d, Jers. bulls £4 10s, S.H. do. £4 15s, 2-year P.A. bulls 10 guineas.
