FARM TRAINING
FOR INTENDING MIGRANTS BRITISH Y.MC.A. SCHEME. MAKING BETTER SETTLERS. LONDON, Dec. 10. Major I. H. Young, presiding at the annual luncheon of the National Council of the Y.M.C.A., stated that the Association was opening a number of farms where intending migrants would receive elementary farm training. The completed scheme would suffice to train 2000 annually. Major Young said that it was generally rccognise’d that the prime cause of failures in oversea life was lack of suitable preparation.
