LABOUR’S FIGHT TO REMAIN IN POWER N.S.W. DROPS THE REDS THE PARTY PATCHED UP DETAILS OF THE SETTLEMENT By Telegraph—Per Pres.® Assn.—Copyright. SYDNEY, Dec. 11. The terms of settlement of the dispute between the Government and Messrs Goodin and Gillies are: Complete repudiation of the dictatorship, rejection of the 1 ‘Red” rule, reorganising of the Labour Party, dropping from the Party Messrs Willis, Voight and Garden, the country to be given priority in any legislation to be passed and the country to be given dxtra representation under the new redistribution of seats scheme. The outcome of the agreement is that the Government will be able to continue in office and probably the present Parliament will now run its full term. Parliament will most likely be called together as soon as possible, probably early in January. The official report of the meeting states that Mr Goodin is now back in the party. Air Gillies has also accepted the agreement, but his return to the party has been postponed until the terms of the agreement have been honoured. Mr Gillies will support the Government in the meantime and will not vote against the Government. Mr Loughlin, interviewed, said that his attitude has not changed since the commencement of the trouble.
