A tvpirttl American small town, comt. -ie in almost every respect, was constructed at Universal City for ‘Rolling Home,” the universal Jewel production starring Reginald Denny. The little village of IMirbrook, California, was taken as a model, and most of the exterior scenes were made there. The main street was then re-constructed at the studio for the more intimate shots. The cast of “Rolling Home” includes Marion Nixon, Ben Hendricks Junr., E. J. Rin-Tin-Tin, the dog wonder, whose lan following rivals that of almost any of the human stars of the screen, ,s now appearing in the stellar role of “The Clash of the Wolves,” the War nor Bros. Classic of the screen, released by Master Pictures. Rinty is a German shepherd dog, popularly know as a police dog. Born in the advance zone of the A.E.F. in France in 1918, he was named after Rm-Tin-Tin, one of the “lucky wools” of the war. Lieut. Lee Dunean, who adopted him, later brought him to the United States, and trained him so successfully that his film career has been a brilliant one. He make his film debut in “Where The North Begins,” and has been starred subsequently in ‘ ‘ Find 1 our Mau, . , “The Lighthouse by the Sea. ’ “Tracked in the Snow Country” and “Below The Line,” all Master Pictures.

MOUNTAINS AND PLAINS SOME BEAUTIFUL SCENERY. STARRING AN EQUINE. Mountains and plains, mystery canyons and sunlit valleys, every variety of scenery to be found within a hundred miles of Moepa, Nevada, were used by Fred Jackman in directing Hal Roach’s new Master Picture, starring Rex, the king of wild horses. It is “Black Cyclone,” hailed as a sensational novelty film. The company was on location in Nevada over three months staging the many thrills and heart throbs, for “Black Cyclone tells the story of Rex’s love for Lady, and the many adventures that befell thfm. Rex is first seen as a motherless eolt, shifting for himself and learning the ways of the wild. When he reaches full growth he woos and wins Lady, but though she would follow him to the end of her days, she is hard to keep, for the villainous Killer, a herd leader, victorious in every battle steals her. But Bex, too, is a mighty, magnificent horse, and the time comes when he defeats the Killer, the terror of the hills. SALLY O’NEIL AGAIN FOURTH SCREEN APPEARANCE. -‘DON’T” AT HIS MAJESTY’S SOON. Vivacious little Sally O’Neil makes her fourth screen appearance before New Zealand audiences in 4 ‘Don’t” a Metro-Goldwyn-Mayer picture. In her other pictures this brilliant discovery of Marshall Neilan’s showed that she is the possessor of marked ability, end her intriguing personality captivates every audience. In this new attraction which will release throughout New Zealand shortly the star is snported by Bert Roach ; Karl Dane and De Witt Jennings.
