A TOUCH OF WHITE
Every spring frock is bedecked with frills. This is the verdict of Paris for 1926. And it is certainly very pleasant to realise that once 'again we are at liberty to indulge our taste for jabots and frilled waistcoats. The dainty touch of white is always decidedly feminine, and it makes a simple tailormade of serge or garbardino look like a costly ‘creation.” Some of the latest Paris models show very long revers of organdie and fine lace, or of washing chiffon, ornamented with drawn-thread work; and these add grace to the figure. White organdie waistcoats, covered with tiny ruchings, are effectively worn with black taffetas tailor-mades, the buttons on the waistcoat being small, and glistening with good paste. Casaqum blouses made o? white Shantung, and finished tot neck and wrists with pleated muslin frills, arc worn with pleated skirts and the new floating capes. Always there is the touch of white! It is found even on the most elaborate of afternoon frocks. Changes in the important matter of detail arc indicated everywhere. And yet the silhouette remains verv much the same.
The great dress designers of Paris have found it imposible to induce their best clients to depart from the graceful straight lines which have done so much to establish effect of youthfulness.
