Colonel Mitchell left Wanganui yesterday for Wellington. Mr C. Jordan, of Kamo, Whangarei, has been on a visit to Wanganui. Sydney visitors to Wanganui, Mrs Field and Miss McNelis, have left for Wellington. Messrs J. T. Ryan ami J. Devenny, of Masterton, have been visiting Wanganui. Dr. G. Einar du Ritz, a distinguished botanist, of Upsala University (Sweden) is visiting Feilding for the week-end. Mr G. D. Robb, of New Zealand, has been made a fellow of the Royal College of Surgeons, says a London cablegram. Mr. A. R. Donaldson, of Wanganui, yesterday received the sad news of the sudden death at Auckland of his brother, Mr. W. A. Donaldson, who was inspector to the Auckland City Tramways Department. The late Mr. Donaldson, who was only 44 years of age, spent a holiday in Wanganui a few months ago and made many friends. Mr. A. R. Donaldson left last night for Auckland. Guests at Foster’s Hotel include Mr and Mrs Gardner (Taihape), Mr J. Ambrose (Wellington), Mr J. H. Burtenshaw (Auckland), Mr R. P. Spedding (Rotorua), Mr M. S. Myers (Wellington), Mrs Maginness (Christchurch), Miss Freeman (Christchurch), Mr P. L. Halsted (Dunedin), Mr and Mrs T. H. Duncan (Wellington), Mrs Dewsbury (Wellington), Mr E. F. Kempthorne (Wanganui), Mr E. A. Allan (Wellington), Mr and Mrs. Henderson (Waipukurau), Mr F. Rowley (Hawera) and Mr and Mrs B. B. Waller (London).
