THE CALCUTTA SALES SATISFACTORY PRICES OBTAINED CALCUTTA, Dec. 8. At the tea sales there was a strong and active market, with satisfactory rates for good classes. Other sorts were irregular. Average prices were: Commonest leaf, nine annas six pies to ten annas ix pics; ordinary common Pekoe souchong, ten annas to ten annas three pics; lowest even leaf Pekoe, eleven annas to twelve annas. Dusts were fully firm.
