BEAM WIRELESS
SATISFACTORY PROGRESS MADE ONE WAVE LENGTH FOR AUSTRALIA Received Dec. 9, 7.15 p.m. LONDON, Dec. 9. It is understood that the British Post Office is satisfied with the progress of beam wireless tests, and it is unlikely they will require an official test beyond those in progress at present. Last night the stations established touch, but it will be at the week-end before the South African test is made. One wave length will be used for the Australian service, compared with alternative wave lengths for Canada and South Africa.
