THE DEVIL’S NUMBER

THIRTEEN TENDER FOR GRANDSTAND SPRIGGENS PARK AMENITIES. Thirteen contractors tendered for the erection of the Wanganui Rugby SubUnion’s new grandstand on Spriggens Park, where a single main ground, to be skirted by a capacious stand, is being formed. The successful tenderer was Mr. J. Moye, whose price was £2463. From this figure the tenders ran as high as £4099. The number who submitted prices is just about a record for this class of job in Wanganui. Mr. Moye, the successful tenderer, has just completed the construction of the Meuli Wharf at Castlecliff.
