Mathieson, vice-president of the New Zealand Farmers’ Union, speaking last night with reference to the South Island’s effort to hold up the North Island Agricultural College proposals. z The establishment of another agricultural college he considered the best possible investment the country could make. He was sorry that farmers of experience and standing had criticised the proposals. He could not understand their attitude.
