WANGANUI GIRLS’ COLLEGE

OLD PUPILS’ RE-UNION APPEOACHING END OF SCHOOL YEAB. With the rapidly approaching end of the school year preparations are being made at the Wanganui Girls’ College to bring the year to a fitting close by means of a series of concerts and school functions which arc to extend over the next few days. Thus, proceedings will commence today with a junior pupils’ concert at 8 o’clock this evening. To-morrow, at 2.30 p.m., swimming sports, to which parents of pupils, old students and lady friends will be invited, will be held, and there will also be a display of work in the school assembly hall. On Monday evening, the senior girls will present their concert, and on Wednesday the interesting play, “The Rivals,” will be produced. On the following evening, tho annual distribution of prizes will take place, at which Mr. J. S. Barton will officiate. Celebrations will culminate with a re-union of old pupils after the prize-giving. A cordial invitation is extended to old pupils, parents and friends of the school to attend the festivities, and those who are acquainted with the enthusiasm aroused by those functions, will feel sure that the coming series will prove to be the most successful in the history of the College.
