- Hurdles.—Adjuster 1,. Illawarra 2, Destroyer 3. Four others ran. Betting : 8 to 1 Adjuster. Won by threequarters of a length. Time, 3 mins. 53 sees. Nursery Handicap.—True Scot 1, Castaway 2, Scramble 3. Six others ran. Betting: 2 to 1 Disaster and Castaway; 6 to 1 True Saot. Won easily. Time, 1 mm. 16| sees. Flying Stakes.—Gladsome .1, Scotland 2, Oreillet 3. Four others ran, including Maniapoto. Batting: 6 to 4 Oreillet, sto 1 Gladsome. Oreillet, Charles Stuart, and .Maniapoto ledanto tho straight. The New Zealander was soon done with, and at the distance Gladsome and Scotland came through,, and a fine raoa resulted in a head victory. Time, 1 mm. 28£ sees. Carnival Handicap.—Grama 1, F. J. A 2. Four others l-an. Betting: Even money on Boabdil, 3 to 1 F.J.A., 6 to 1 Grama. Jargoon came in first by half a length, but Grama's people entered a protest, and F.J.A.'s connections protested against the first and second horse. After inquiry the race was awarded to Grama. Time, 2 mins. 10i- sees. Oaks.—Lady Wallace 1, Infanta 2, Bonnio Lassie 3. Only starters. Betting: 5 to 1 on Lady Wallace, who won very easily. Time, 2 t mins. 46 sees. ' : Veteran Stakes.—Procedor 1, Elvo 2, Harmony 3. Six others ran. Betting: 5 to 2 Panama, 3 to 1 Elvo, 8 to .1 Proceedore. Won after an exciting raco by. half a head. Time, 2 mins. 28£ sees.
