KAUKATEA ROAD BOARD.

The ordinary monthly meeting of tho Kaikatea Road Board was held on Wednesday, when there were present: Messrs, J. E. Wilson, R. Old, L. Strachan, and J. Jones, The minutes of the previous meeting wero read and confirmed.

The returning officer reported that Mr. J. E. Willon had been re-elected to fill the vacancy caused by his resignation.

Resolved, that Mr. J. E. Wilson take the chair for the ensuing twelve months.

Resolved, that the clerk give notice that it is the intention of the Board, at its next meeting, to strike a general rato of fd. in the £. Accounts amounting to £20 were passed for payment. Resolved, that the clerk send to the Mataongaonga and Purua Road Boards accounts for gravel supplied at sd. per yard; also that the chairman ascertain from tho surfaceman the time spent in spreading the gravel. Messrs. Higgie and Buchanan waited on tho Board and asked that the pathway leading to the post office at Okoia bo metalled, and offered to give the land necessary for widening the road at the corner.
