LONDON, November 8

The British and Foreign Bible Society's centenary fund stands at a quarter of a million guineas complete.

King Edward, in sending 100 guineas, hoped the Society . would gradually Christianise the world.

President Roosevelt cabled that he jioped the Society ivrould stimulate world-wide (interest in the translation and circulation of the Bible.

The Kings of Denmark and Sweden, the Kaiser, and the Queen of Holland telegraphed congratulations.
