SUDDEN DEATH AT DURIETOWN.
An old man, named Edward Billinghurst, residing aft Durietown, and employed by 'Mr Sinclair <as gardener, was found dead on a ibed of caibhage plants in iMr (Sinclair's nursery on Saturday last. The deceased, who^ is a wellknown resident of the district, went to ■work at 8 o'clock on Saturday morninig and was missed ab"out 11 o'clock, when another employee, George Cook, searched for him and found him as described. 'He had a number of cabbage plants in his hand, showing that he was ing the act of pulling the plants when he was stricken down. Dr Hatherly was sent for, and, after examining the body, said that the man had been dead about half^an-h'our when discovered by Cook. He had 'been suffering from pains in the chest and fits of giddiness for some time past. An inquest was held at the residence 'of the diseased yesterday afternoon, before Mr R. L. Stanford, ■Coroner^ and a jury of which Mr Partington was foreman. A verdict was Returned, in accordance with <the medical evidence, that death was caused by heart disease.
