IBJS sees., Paritutu easily defeatting his companion, which came as a after the poor display yester--«day. Calibre easily disposed of Golden "Knight over six furlongs in 1 mm. 19 *2-5 seas. Achilles and Ghoorka raced -over a mile and a qu-arter on the grass In 2 mins. 12 sees. Achilles, going bet~ter throughout than his companion, finished five lengths to the good. His "performance was one of the best galHops of the week. Ghoorka was probably carrying more weight than -Achilles, so his display,- too, was satisfactory. Chivalry heat Marguerite over -ssix furlongs, run in 1 mm. 15 3-5 sees. —-a very attractive performance. MaTmtonga easily disposed of Veneer ovet* •^six. furlongs on the plough, which was ~run in .1 mm. 18 sees., and may perform better to-morrow than is generally -anticipated. Pas Seul defeated Black "Diamond over six furlongs, while PetJticoat dashed over half a mile up the "back in 50 2-5 sees.
