OPENING DAY-£th NOVEMBER
The opening of tlhe season of the above Club eventuates on Thursday, the 9th of November. The season will be opened by the Commodore at 2 o'clock, after •which a race will 'be held, commencing at 2.30. The following handicaps (have been declared <by Mr C. F. Day:—Olipper 11. and Dottrell, scratch; Nyoola, 7\ mm; Bonito and Sandy Hookj 9 mm; Eric, * '. 9£ mm; (Maureen, 10£ mm; Arawa, 11 . mm; Omafpere, Jj.± mm. Given fine weather this handicap should bring the beats well together in the hoofie run. Colleotion boxes will be fixed in" prominent positions on tlhe wharf, and subscriptions will 'be solicited to aid the Sailing? Glut in the matter of prize money for the big irace.
