Kirrimuir defeated Stronghold by three lengths over half a mile in 48 sees.—an exceptionally smart performance. Douche and Faritutu galloped a. mile and a quarter in 2 mins. 11 sees., Douche finishing' in front. Paritutu performed disappoin tingtyi being vigorously ridden from the straight. The first named had all the best of the) gallop. A large number of other horses did useful, but unsensational, work.
