YOUNG MEN'S NO-LICENSE CLUB.
An enthusiastic meeting of the Young Men's No-License Olmb wa*s held in.Dustin's Rooms "last evening. Mr T. W. Downes presided, and there were sixty members present, . • The secretary's report was of' & very encouraging nature. He stated that 100 mernlbers had been added to the roll since the previous meeting. : In view of enquiries as to the working of the clulb having been received from Oastilecliff, it -was decided to (hold the nest meeting of the oluib there on Wednesday evening next. The President, Mr H. F. Christie (who was absent from town), wrote accepting office, and in very kindly language hoped the Clmb would prosper in the good work it (had undertaken. He also enclosed a cheque for ten guineas. At the conclusion of the ordinary business the meeting took a social farm. Songs, duets, >and recitations were rendered, and the toasts, " The King " and " Success of the No-License Movement," were (honoured.
A most enjoyable function was terminated at 10.30.
