WELLINGTON, November 1. The long-standing case" of Tulford (of Canada) v. Fairflbairn, Wright and Co. (of Christchuroh), involving an infringe^ ment of the pink pills trade mark, concluded to-day, the defendants consenting to judgment restraining them from selling any pills not manufactured by the plaintiff imitating "pink pills. The defendants were absolved from any moral blame dn the matter, the whole trouble being an unintentional and pardonable mistake.

At Port Ohalmers, to-dajj, Wilbea't John Dillon was charged with making a false statement to the Registrar of Electors in claiming enrolment* by stating his age was not under 21 years. The claim for enrolment was sigt?&d in July, whereas Dillon was not 21 ui'-til October. The father of the accused said the paper had been left at?fche house. In a similar charge Against Alfred Hughes the father" of the young man said he w«as'under the impression that his son was born in 1884, and he handed the Bench tihe .record of the birth of his family. Under the circumstances the case .was dismissed.
