WOOL, SKIN, AND HIDE SALE.
The New Zealand Loan and Mercantile Agency Company^ Limited, report as follows on Saturday's sale :— "There was a fair attendance of buyers, ibut speculation was not so keen as at last sales. Full woblled light conditioned skins sold well, but heavy skins -were lower by id per lb., as also were .-all damaged pelted skins. We offered 1600 skins, 23 packages wool, over 400 hides and calfskins, and a -quantity of tallow, and quote sheep.skins, merino, halfbred, and fine cross--.-bred B£d to 9d, coarse crossbred 8d to ,S£d, dead skins s|d to 7£d, inferior pelted and short wool 5d to 7£d, green rskins os 6d to 8s each. Hides.—Heavy -o< 4 3-8 dto 5 l-Bd, light ox 4£d to sd. -co hides from 4 3-8 dto 4sd, cut and •slippy hides from 3Jd to 4d, calfskins 4d to 5 l-8d per lb Tallow, in tins from 15s to 18s per cwt., casks 19s to -20s 6d per cwt. '
