The Appropriation Bill was brought down at 4 a.m. In. the coarse of debate Messrs Kaitoau and Wi Pere protested against the loss of the Maori Land CJ|sm Adjustment Bill. Mr A. L. D. Fraser also expressed regret that the Bill had net passed, declaring ftihat in iconsequence thereof thousands of (acres of land were locked up to 'both Maonis and Europeans. Mr Seddpn also said ihe felt tlie native members had good cause for complaint, and 'he would make the Bill one •of the first 'of tihe Government Bills next session.

The Appropriation Bill passed its final stages on the voices. FINIS.

On the Bill ibeing (returned to the House after signature by 'the Governor, Mr Seddon expressed gratification at the legislature of the session. Mr Buchanan' (on behalf of the Leader of the Opposition) paid a, tribute to Mr Speaker for Ihis ivork during the session.

THE BUSINESS DONE
