WANGANUI CHRISTMAS CARNIVAL.
'A meeting of the Floral Fete Com•inijttiee was held last night at the Museum. Present —'Messrs .8. S. Griffiths (Chairman), J. F. Holloway, G. Smith, and C. Drew. The #anes of Messrs R. .Walker and J. G. Swan were added to the committee. After discussion it was resolved to convene a meeting of ladies •willing to help for Tuesday next, November 6th, at fthe Museum, at 3 o'clock in the afternoon. The suggestion of the Carnival Commitlte© re additions to the programme were adopted with the extra offer to the tradesmen's decoralted vehicle class.. A separate competition will be made for any guaranteeing six nominations. Reports from various sources were read, all of a satisfactory niaJture. With such a deserving institution as the Museum sharing in the profits «i£sart from the attractive nature of the 'Fete the public are sure to generously support the event.
